Portsmouth Cycle Forum members Owen Devine and Hilary Reed met Green Party MEP, Keith Taylor at Victoria Road North to discuss the city’s air pollution problems on 3 November. The MEP is leading a campaign to urge councils to take more action to reduce levels of nitrogen dioxide - saying thousands of lives are at risk over the long term from vehicle pollution. City council leader Gerald Vernon-Jackson insisted the council was taking measures to reduce pollution from motor vehicles.
