The coastal defences along the north of Portsmouth, from Portchester to Havant are in need of strengthening and options are open for public consultation. It is possible that footpaths and cycleways could be included in the plans so the cycling community should take an interest.There are consultation events to be held on the following dates:

• Thursday 20 February, 12-6pm - Anchorage Lodge, PO3 5UB
• Tuesday 25 February, 12-8pm - Portsmouth Outdoor Centre, PO3 5LY
• Wednesday 26 February, 12-8pm - Innlodge Hotel, PO3 5HH
• Thursday 27 February, 12-8pm - Mountbatten Centre, PO2 9QA
